CBD wholesaler: how to optimize your catalog?
- by Gaëtan Boyer

In an increasingly competitive CBD market, wholesalers must constantly refine and renew their offerings in order to attract customers and build loyalty. As a CBD wholesaler, your catalog should not only offer as many products as possible, but also meet your customers' expectations, anticipate trends, and guarantee product quality and traceability. Here's a closer look at the four pillars of an effective catalog.
To create a relevant catalog, it is essential to focus on your customers' real needs. Start by identifying their positioning and customer base (physical store, e-commerce, trade show, wellness-oriented offering, etc.) to best meet their demands.
Certain products are essential additions to any catalog. These include CBD flowers, resins, sublingual oils, and e-liquids. In addition to these "classics," there are other products such as CBD cosmetics, infusions, gummies, pre-rolls, CBD for animals, and food products such as hemp flour and seeds. Don't hesitate to analyze your customers' needs and gather their feedback on the products you offer and their expectations.
Offering the right products is good. Offering several varieties of a product to provide maximum choice is even better. Origin, flavors, textures, CBD concentration: your customers need to have the best possible choice to meet the tastes and profiles of each of their customers, without having to source from multiple retailers.
Offering a wide selection also allows you to identify products that offer unbeatable value for money, such as premium quality products. This is a way to adapt to your customers' positioning and satisfy each of their consumers!
In addition, don't hesitate to offer several types of packaging: bulk, individual units, or batches, in order to adapt to the needs of both small shops and large retailers.
As a CBD wholesaler, your catalog must offer all the essential products your customers expect, but it must also list new products appearing on the market. There are many benefits to this:
By regularly introducing new products, you encourage your customers to check your catalog to stay informed about the latest arrivals and try out new ranges. To build customer loyalty, you can add a sample of a new product to their order so they can try it out and decide whether to buy it.
Actively monitoring suppliers will allow you to stay abreast of innovations in CBD: new flower varieties, new e-cigarette blends, new cosmetic products, etc.
This criterion comes at the end of the list of criteria to be prioritized when creating an effective catalog, but it is probably the most important. Whatever products you offer your customers, they must comply with French and European regulations in terms of composition, consumption, THC content, and the origin of the hemp from which the CBD is extracted.
Each batch of products must be analyzed by an independent laboratory and validated by a certificate that can be viewed by your customers. These analyses certify that the THC content of the products is less than 0.3% and that they do not contain any contaminants (heavy metals, pesticides) that are hazardous to consumer health.
Transparency is also key to a high-quality catalog: the origin of the hemp, the cultivation method, and the CBD extraction method must be clearly stated. All these requirements help to build your customers' trust by offering them high-quality products that are healthy and safe for their health.
